In July 2023, during Anxious's visit to Seoul for a gig, DJ had the privilege of interviewing Grady from the band. At the time, EMO IS FOR LOVERS had a minimal social media presence, making this interview particularly special.
Despite their incredibly tight schedule, Grady was exceptionally kind and accommodating, fitting us in and allowing for a truly memorable conversation. Anxious has continued to inspire with their music and dedication, and I've only grown more enamored with their sound since that eventful night. Unsurprisingly, they are now making significant waves in the emo and hardcore scene.
That night was the beginning of many great stories. For instance, meeting Earth sparked the idea of organizing an emo party, which has since become a reality. It felt as though the stars were aligned, and everything was meant to be.
Reflecting on these experiences, I deeply miss watching Anxious live and feeling the unparalleled energy they bring to their performances. I eagerly dream of seeing them again soon. It's incredible to witness the journeys of both the band and our community, watching the scene flourish and grow together.
